Megan + Dustin: A Love Story

The Love Story Started…

in the summer of 2017. They met online after growing up only 30 minutes from each other. On their first date, Dustin captured Megan’s heart with two of her favorite things: a steak dinner and a Disney movie. The rest of that summer was a whirlwind romance. They couldn’t wait to spend time together and did so as often as possible. This included going to their first SF Giants game together, watching six seasons of Game Of Thrones in two weeks, and their first trip together - a moonlight valley tour and camping at Yosemite National Park.

…and the rest, as they say, is history…

The proposal happened on 11.9.2019. They had a photoshoot scheduled for Christmas card photos. Thinking she was being clever, Megan asked Dustin if she would wear a ring so the pictures could be an engagement announcement for “later on.” She would take it off after the photos were taken. Much to her surprise, Dustin asked her if she wanted to keep the ring on forever, and the shoot really did turn into a Christmas engagement session!

Both being from the Central Valley, they knew they wanted their wedding to reflect the stunning, natural beauty that they grew up surrounded by. The Gold Country holds a special place in their heart, as that is where they took their first trip together. After hearing about Hurst Ranch from a family member, they decided to take a tour and instantly fell in love. They knew right away that Hurst Ranch was where they wanted to celebrate their love with friends and family.
